​My name is Marielena Smith and I have owned Baking it Better for 2 years now. I learned that I had a strong passion for baking when I was just a little girl baking with my grandma. In high school, all my friends and family told me I should start selling what I baked because it was worth it, so I did just that. With the help of my culinary teacher at that time I got my business and Instagram up and running. I have been in culinary for 5 years and have competed in a Culinary Arts competition in my junior year of high school making it to state. I also competed in Baking and Pastry my sophomore year making it to nationals along with Pastry Arts Technical Decorating Skills which I placed first nationwide. I specialize in gluten free desserts, custom cakes, and more!
